i think that order and moderation are most important because people must have a life based on an established order and using anything too much is not good for anyone

Silence and Industry are the most important ones. Because silence means you have to talk at the right moment and not interupting which is a very difficult task to accomplish. Because in that time he was in politics and in politics people argue.Industry is very important because you can´t waste your time. You have to use your time usefully and not be lazy.

I agree with Carlos order is letting everything have it´s moment. Letting business have its time and joking around in its time and place.

Humility is the most important virtue because for you to imitate Jesus, you MUST have temperance, silence, frugality, sincerity, justice, tranquility, and chastity. Industry is the second most important because it is also a collection of other virtues like silence, order, resolution, and frugality.

I think the two most important virtues are moderation and humility. Moderation because one shall not be excessive with anything- material things, emotional affection, etc. This will make us too dependant and not let us focus on everithing in a balanced way. Humility because one shall always be aware and appreciate everything you own or have. Not only the material things, but things like family, love, and friendship also.

I have to disagree with Priscilla when she says industry is the most important one because the 13 virtues include many other factors that can contribute to living a healthy, full life, though i understand her point and what she means.

Priscilla Gonzalez said...

Fernanda, I have to say that Industry is very important because I believe that every is to work and people should cut off unecessary actions.

But i always understand Fernanda's point of view when she explains that humility because people should appreciate life and not the material things.

I think the two most importaint are cleanliness and order.Cleanliness because really no one likes being around people who smell bador are dirty. Thats just unhuman, discusting and sick. I belive that Cleanliness should have been franklins first virtue. and then order. Because belive it or not for things in life to go as planed you must have an order. Like every country has laws people should follow.

I agree with carlos that people should have a life based on an established order... because if not people would want to be at all places at the same time and go crazy!

I think that the two most important virtues are silence and moderation. In everything you do you have to be moderate even when talking you need to control yourself and wait for you time to speak.

i believe that the most important virtues a man should have is temperance and industry.Temperance by the way there has to be a balance in what you eat and drink ;not to much not to little and have compassion in yourself because it is a zin when man excess. And Industry simply because without this virtue we would be like animals, with no responsability and of course if you are always on time always doing something useful like the virtue industry says ,you can be a very succesful person and thats the goal that everyone has.

i think that the most important virtues people must possess are sincerity, justice and humility because people should be truth to others, be equal and be humble with others, no matter what.
i agree with manuel, when he states that people must possess justice as a virtue

In my opinion, moderation and order, as Carlos said, are the two most important virtues in life. If you are able to avoid extremes and let everything have its place and time, you will succeed. You must keep in mind the entire list of virtues but using modertion and order to keep a balance between them.
I disagree with Priscilla too when she says industry is one of the most important virtues, because many of the others, like moderation, frugality and resolution that already encompass this one.

filippo said...

I agree with mella that order and moderation are the most important virtues.

Armando said...

Manuel why do you think that those are the most important values?

Gabriel said...

I think that order and tranquility are the most important because people need order in order to live in a society and tranquility in order to have a peacfull life.

Pedro said...

moderation and huimbleness are the two most important virtues stated by Ben Franklin. moderation because anything in excess is bad, and humbleness because you should always remain simple in life and not spend money on more WOW things just because they are expensive.

Mella217 said...

I agree with armando that humility is an important quality to have in life, althought it is not the most important

Armando said...

Carlos, thanks for understanding my point of view, but I still believe that it is the MOST important value.

i dissagre with Daniela by the way Cleanliness shouldnt be one of Benjamin's first virtue because there has to be Order and industry first because by being organized then comes the cleanliness .
And i agree with filippo when he said that silence is one of the most important virtues because man should speak just the necessary to avoid problems and be organized

Daniela said...

Gaby i dont know about you but being clean is really really a first must, because think whaen you wake up the first thiong you do i take a shower and brush your teeth. than you put cleean cloths on. and then you do everything else. BEING CLEAN IS SUPPER IMPORTAINT!

i think justice and order are the most important because if their are justice everyone is treated equally and if their is order evrything has its time and things are do more organized and better.
also a agree with sabrina when she says that moderation is an important trait because that give equality to everyone.

filippo said...

i agree with you gaby

Its true what Manuel says, but I dont think we should go to extremes to solve issues. That usually leads to conflicts and misundertandings, and you spend too much time on one aspect.

Gabriel said...

Thanks Priscilla for agreeing with me in the part that to live an ogranized life you need a order

Gabriela Caro said...

filippo i really think that the two most importants are industry and temperance so thanks for agreeing with me.

Order and Humility are the most important virtues. Order because anything out of order would be chaotic and Humility because everyone should appreciate what they have rather than being greedy.

Gabriel said...

I agree with Filippo because you have to be moderate in everything that you do.

Eddy said...

I think humility and moderation are the most important because this traits help you live a peacefull life without many problems

Luis Losada said...

I believe that order and moderation are the two most important virtues written by Benjamin Franklin. Order is when you follow a plan. Also it means to all your things in the right place. Moderation is also very important because moderation helps keep order. Also by being moderate you are using only what you need and avoid extremes.

Luis Losada said...

I have to disagree with Fillipo because i don't believe that silence is really a must virtue for our society. Franklin said that you needed to be silent and only speak if it benefits you and the ones around you. But how can you be sincere if you can only speak good of others, what if you don't like that person and know he has many negative attributes how could you tell this person all this negative things if you can only talk to benefit others.

Cynthia said...

i think order and scilence are the most important ones because life has to be organized for you to get things well done and silence because sometimes when you say hard things it hurts others more than other thing can hurt them.

i disagree with priscilla because i think time you injoy waisting is not wasted.

Mella217 said...

Thanks to everyone who agreed with me but Armando, I think that , like Sabrina said it is best to keep life in order by having a balance of all the virtues

Bryan Martinez said...

I believe that the two most important virtues a society must have are order and justice. I say this because when there is no order in a society, it tends to create chaos, a society needs to have order in order to be successful. A society needs justice, without it people would do harmful stuff and would get away with it if no consequences exist.

Ana T. Garcia said...

Most of these 13 virtues are really important, but if I have to choose two I would choose cleanliness and moderation. Cleanliness, because to me it's vital to be hygienic and clean. A good aspect is really important for business. People that have to trust someone with their money or any other important belonging, usually go for the person that looks respectable, prim and proper. Not someone that looks shaggy and dirty because it does not inspire confidence; a clean person emulates decency. But most important, it adds to the health of a person, usually clean people are in a good state of being. Cleanliness must come first, because without time to live you cannot accomplish any of the other things you want to do in life. Another important virtue is moderation. In life, everything in extremes is detrimental. When someone takes their job to seriously, they usually give up their life and end up missing out on all the fun and beauty of life. But when someone takes life to lightheartedly, they don't achieve anything, they get trapped in one place unable to move on. That is why people need to have a certain balance, in all aspects. This way they will be able to live rich and fructiferous lives.

Ana T. Garcia said...

Bryan, don't you think that before having order people should have moderation first? I mean, don't ou think that people should have limits, because if peopople lack moderation they take things to the extreme. Someone may become extremely dependant on order. Or even worse people may take justice too seriously, as in "an eye for an eye", and that would simply make them criminals too.

Bryan Martinez said...

Ana, don't you think that a society needs virtues more important than cleanness? I mean, yes it's true that it makes people look more respectable, but don't think that when someone is looking for person to trust they take more important traits such as humility, order, resolution, industry and sincerity. No matter how clean and respectable a person looks, it will not be a person to trust without any these virtues.

Ana, I will have to agree with you on your comment, yes I think people should have moderation above all, having and excess of order and justice is bad and could be harmful to a community.

Eddy said...

i have to disagree with vicente about order being the most important because without moderation there's no order

Ana T. Garcia said...

Bryan, of course that to trust someone people take into account many other things than their aspect. But when someone is dirty and gross, not only in their appearance but also in the way they work and many other characteristics, they don't even get a chance to be trusted. Cleanliness not only applies to the body but also to a persons surroundings and the way they actually perform, whether it’s tidy and neat or grungy and sloppy. When a person is not clean in these aspects society rejects them, without even wondering whether they are humble, sincere, organized, etc.

I disagree with everyone who say that silence is an important virutue, because everyone should speak what he or she thinks even if its a bad or negative comment.
